never missed a beat.
We started as 16 women. We grew into a sisterhood. Today, that sisterhood inspires the work of Pink Powerful Divas.

One beginning.
From 16 women to a movement
We didn’t have
everything figured out.
In 2015, we came together as 16 women from different walks of life. We didn’t know exactly what we were building or how far our journey would take us. We each carried our own struggles, responsibilities, and personal situations.
Some of us were facing relationship problems, financial challenges, or family responsibilities. Some shared what they were going through; others kept those parts of life private. Our experiences—and our relationships with one another—were never all the same.
That was part of what made this sisterhood real. Everybody wasn’t best friends. We had different personalities and opinions, and we didn’t always agree. But when it came to helping one another, offering encouragement, and wanting to see each woman do better, we found ways to stand together.
More than a social club
We showed up
as ourselves.
Yes, we were a social club. We loved dressing up, stepping out, laughing, celebrating, and enjoying life. When the Pink Panty Divas—the name we began with—stepped into a room, we made our presence known. We carried ourselves with confidence, style, and personality. We were showstoppers, and people recognized us.
Behind the beautiful outfits, the smiles, and the good times were real women living real lives. We had our challenges, but we were building something that went beyond membership in a club: genuine connections.
The years in between
Life changed.
The connection stayed.
Between 2015 and 2025, approximately 25 to 30 women became part of our journey. Some were there from the beginning; others joined along the way. Life took us in different directions. Women started families, focused on careers, pursued personal goals, and moved into new chapters.
Some women who met through Pink Panty Divas had never known one another before joining. Years later, they still share meaningful relationships. We may go months—or even years—without seeing each other. We may not call or text every day. But when we get together, the laughter is still there. The conversations pick right back up. We can vent, share our opinions, encourage each other, and enjoy the genuine connection that first brought us together.
That taught us something: real sisterhood isn’t measured by how often you talk. It lives in the love, respect, and connection that remain when life gets busy.

Where purpose grew
From friendship
to a wider circle.
Founder Tarana Gordon understood what it felt like to wish for a stronger support system while navigating difficult seasons as a mother of three. The friendships formed in that first circle helped shape a larger vision.
What began as a social club became a sisterhood with purpose, even before we fully understood what that purpose would become. Today, Pink Powerful Divas carries that foundation forward: extending encouragement, support, and belonging to women facing their own challenges.
We want women to know they can rebuild, grow, regain confidence, and make choices toward a better future. We may not have known exactly where we were going in 2015, but looking back, we were creating the foundation for something greater.

I have been part of this sisterhood since 2015, when we were originally known as Pink Panty Divas. What started as a group of 16 women coming together became something much more meaningful in my life.
